Dzanc Books has annouced a literary program and multi-genre contest:
Dzanc Books announces the first annual DISQUIET: International Literary Program (ILP) in Lisbon, Portugal, to take place June 19 – July 1, 2011.
The program includes workshops and discussions with some of the most compelling writers from North America and Portugal in one of the most transfixing cities in the world.
We are holding a multi-genre contest in affiliation with the magazine of art and politics Guernica. Submissions should involve an international aspect, thereby broadening the landscape of North American literature outside of the borders of North America. The author of the winning piece wins airfare, accommodations, and a full tuition scholarship to the ILP plus publication in Guernica. Finalists will receive partial tuition scholarships and may be considered for publication.
In addition to the contest there are scholarships available for writers of Luso descent funded through our partner, the Luso-American Development Foundation.
Apply early to secure your spot in your chosen workshop.
