Job Description:
We are looking for an organized, energetic graduate student to take on the role as Editorial Assistant for our journal for the 2009-2010 school year. As the Editorial Assistant, you will be responsible for the tasks of communicating with the authors, editors, typesetters, and printers. You will organize all of the components of the journal and help facilitate production. Daily tasks include answering email inquiries, logging in journal submissions, updating subscription database, helping to keep track of the budget, and advertising and promotion of the journal.
Requirements:
- Graduate Student in the English Department as of September 1st, 2008
- 3.5 GPA or higher
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with web design and Adobe is a plus.
- Registered for at least 6 graduate credit hours for Fall and Winter semester.
Graduate Assistantship applications are due to the English Department by February 15th, 2009. Simply check off “Journal of Narrative Theory” as your desired position on the application.
