Creative Writing Student Group bi-weekly workshops begin May 8th!

And now a message from Creative Writing Student Group President Gerard Breitenbeck:

Calling EMU Student Writers,

You’re invited to the EMU Creative Writing Student Group’s bi-weekly workshop, 6:30pm every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in Room 320 of the Student Center.

No homework, professor, or grades, just a great opportunity to share and discuss your work with fellow writers.

Please bring a hard-copy of your work to our first meeting, Tuesday May 8th, 6:30pm at room 320 in the Student Center. If you can’t make our first meeting, you can always join us for the next one, Tuesday May 22nd.

Dzanc Books Dis|Quiet, July 1-13, 2012

Interested in exploring writing through workshops and lectures in Lisbon, Portugal next summer?  Visit http://disquietinternational.org/ and find out more about Dis|Quiet, the Dzanc Books International Literary Program.  (There is also information about how to apply for the International Literature Award.) Faculty and guests will include EMU Professor Christine Hume.

Cellar Roots Reading/Writing workshop, Dec. 8, 8:00 p.m.

Cellar Roots

Cellar Roots, EMU’s own literary/arts journal, has a special workshop coming up this Wednesday, December 8th, 8:00-9:30 p.m. in room 301 of the Student Center. Students can bring work to share with the group, and there will be some creative writing games as well.  Bring a friend!
